Supporting Midwives to Serve Women

Why Join Mobile Midwives CIC?

Mobile Midwives CIC is designed for midwives who want to work differently — with more time, flexibility, and autonomy. Whether you're leaving the NHS, working independently, or just need a bit more work life balance, we offer a space to continue supporting women in a meaningful way.

As part of our midwifery network, you can:

✅ Offer non-clinical video/telephone support to pregnant and postnatal women
✅ Stay active in practice with flexible working you control
✅ Be listed in our public directory for independent midwifery referrals
✅ Run local wellbeing groups or education sessions
✅ Be part of a peer-led, supportive network of midwives

This is Nickie, our director.

How it Works -

You Choose what you offer!

📞 Non-Clinical Support Appointments

You set your own calendar and availability for women to book 30- or 60-minute video/telephone calls. These are information-only sessions — not for women in labour or urgent care needs.

Examples of support calls include:

Questions after early scans or appointments

Exploring birth choices or understanding care plans

Signposting for breastfeeding, emotional support, or additional services

Reassurance and listening when women feel unheard

All support is provided via a secure, GDPR-compliant platform (Carepatron). You work from home using your own equipment.

📂 Directory Listing

If you offer private midwifery services, you can be listed in our searchable public directory — by location and/or specialism. You’ll receive direct enquiries and can manage bookings through our system.

Each listing includes:

Profile photo & bio

Regions covered

Special interests or services offered

Booking availability & contact information

Access to promote your events

🌸 Events & Wellbeing Groups

Run local support groups or education sessions under the Mobile Midwives banner. These are non-clinical sessions that focus on emotional well-being, birth education, and community connection.

You can:

Promote your sessions through our site

Host drop-ins or structured workshops

Request shared use of educational equipment

Connect with other midwives to share ideas and resources
